A LIFETIME OF YOGA
I am a just a woman who has had a lot of stress.
Also I am old, fat, and happy (most of the time). The one thing that has kept me going through all the bad times was a constant focus on yoga and my lifetime practice of self-care.
Yoga has been the most important tool in my stress-release toolbox to keep focused so I could handle my challenges well and treat my relationships better.
Relationships matter.

However they will change over time. It is a fact that things don’t stay the same, so you will go through changes large and small every day of your life.
If you try to hold on to people, children, jobs, and/or pets that you have loved in your life, you might be disappointed when they move on.
They grow, they evolve, and then there is the next step to take.
Doing yoga has given me the gift of caring.
My Story
I started yoga early in life: I was a teenager, and I had a hard time relating to my parents, who I knew were good people, yet I did not know how to handle my emotions with them.
I knew I wanted to do more, feel free to be myself, and to explore the world. That was not available for many, many years. However, I did get to a good place with my parents after much discussion and learning how to be more positive. Yoga helped my mind and body to communicate from my heart, so I could sense what was going on with me and get some clarity with the other person. Yoga became my first tool of intelligent interaction with myself and others.
Expertizes
Patience is my superpower
I have lived a very full life, lots of triumphs, many traumas, a lot of heavy and healing relationships. I have had a lot of love, kisses, and hugs throughout my life because that is what I sought out. Now I am glad to be at peace most of the time: I still do yoga and workout a lot. I am a passionate cook, because I need to eat healthy food and pay attention to what matters most. My body is getting old, but my mind is still working and I am grateful every day.
What I Hope For in the Future:
I would be so happy to build a community based on love of nature.
What I Do to recharge
I spend a lot of time photographing nature, and do things to nurture Mother Nature, like recycling as much as I can, and walking in appreciation of my local fields, trees, and creatures.
What You CAN Do
Simple things: breathe, walk, cook, and work mindfully.
Experiences
Yoga teacher
I have taught yoga since I was 18.
I taught wherever people would let me teach yoga: little seminars at my college, later at my gym, and ultimately at wellness centers.
Job Title at Company
Healthy
I found teaching yoga was a good way to talk to people about the many options that we have to be healthy. Most of what I teach derives from what I learned doing yoga to combat stress in my life. I am not special, I am one of many many people who have found a way to adjust to life.
If I had a superpower I would say it was patience, but the truth is I am justvery stubborn about using yoga as a way to experience this life.

2005 – Present
I retired many years ago, but I have found yoga even more useful as I grow older–hopefully gracefully, but sometimes I have to laugh a lot and accept that I am human.
Let’s make something together.
